Work-Life Balance Is A Myth

Hello,
Roberto here, and today I want to dive into a concept that might just blow your mind: the 'false dichotomy'.
This is one of those terms I stumbled upon a while back, and it's lingered with me ever since. I have this knack for collecting quirky bits of info—maybe I'm not the only one.
So, what's a false dichotomy? It's a logical fallacy that tricks you into thinking there are only two options when, in fact, there's a whole spectrum of choices.
You've probably heard these before:
"You're either with us or against us."
"If you're not a vegan, you hate animals."
"I'd rather be healthy than rich."
These statements force you into choosing between two options when, life isn't that simple.
Now, let's toss another one:
"Work-life balance"
What does that even mean?
Are you a zombie at work? Does life hit pause when the workday ends? Does your existence split between Monday to Friday and the weekend?
We're both business owners, I'm sure you'll agree: some of the most brilliant ideas come during those "life" moments—walking through nature, enjoying family time, watching a great movie.
My work-life balance is intact, and I'm definitely not living life wrong.
For us, work is a significant part of life. It doesn't shut off at 5 p.m. It intertwines with everything else, and that’s perfectly fine.
Don't let anyone convince you otherwise.
Talk to you soon,
Roberto
