If You Want More Clients Just From Email, Read This
Why do people prefer texting and emails so much?
I was texting with a client, and we were talking about how the ads we are going to run will win so much that he will have to retire.
But it got me thinking how terribly incompetent most people are at text and email communication.
Think about it, nobody ever teaches you how to do it. You just start one day and have to figure it out.
But most people get stuck at the figuring-out section. If you’ve ever had to deal or worked for a company with a corporate structure, you would know how 99% of the things said in emails make 0 sense.
So how do you write so people so people would read it?
Let’s start with the very basics.
At school, we are taught to read and write at a very young age. It’s simple words and sentences at the start, but then it gets exponentially harder.
The harder something is to read, the fewer people would want to read it.
Makes sense, right? Nobody in their right mind reads doctoral studies for fun.
So the first trick is writing so simply that even a 4th grader can understand it
And by simple, I don’t mean overexplaning or dumbing down everything. Just simplify it in a way that’s easy to understand and comprehend at a glance.
The second hidden ninja trick is once you write something, read it out loud to yourself. Not in a rambling scitzo kind of way, but in a “would I say this to someone in real life” kind of way.
Ask yourself that questions, would you say what you’ve written to someone in real life. If the answer is no, rewrite it, if yes, you’re good to go.
Writing it’s very simple when you simplify it.
