Marketing
Make A Killer Ad In 3 Mindboggling Easy Steps
Advertising is extremely hard.
There are tons of things to consider, tons of different marketing jargon.
There are more books, blogs, and videos about marketing than anything else in the world.
Seems impossible to know where to start. If you're looking at advertising from the outside.
I’ve done marketing for a couple of years now, and I can tell most of those books, blogs, and videos can be summarized in 3 steps.
Want to know how to make any ad print money? Keep reading.
Understanding marketing is like playing the guitar for the first time. You try things, sound comes out but deep inside you know it’s not music.
It doesn't have the special something that makes it work.
It’s the same with ads. The secret sauce is very easy to make.
The first thing you need to absolutely make sure you DON’T do is bore or confuse your ideal customers.
People hate being bored and hate being confused even more. So we make everything super simple for them to understand.
Easy-to-understand language is very underrated. Marketers try to sound sophisticated or advanced but end up sounding like a robot in labor.
Now that we have an easy-to-understand message, we need to figure out how we would want to see this thing.
Makes sense to only speak to people who are willing to buy what you sell, right?
The problem here most people have is FOMO or fear of missing out. They’ll say, “But if I target everyone, won’t more people end up buying?”
Short answer: No, they won’t.
Focus on your target customers.
Okay, last stretch before victory.
We know what we’re going to say and to whom we’ll say it.
The only thing left is to get the message in front of them. What medium will we use to send this message through the ether so it teleports in front of our ideal customer?
This is the easiest one to answer since most of the time it’s going to be Meta or Google.
Doing these steps in order before running an ad will guarantee the success of that ad.
And you want your ad to be successful… right?

P.S. If you want an easier, more checklist-type way to answer these questions, I have a framework we follow before we run our ads. Comment “ADS” and I’ll send you a simplified version of that framework.
