Why Adding More to Your Google Ads Is Making Things Worse (Not Better)
Hi,
It's Roberto.
Most of the time I do client work I'm expected to add a ton of things.
New pages, emails, new content on their Google Business Profile, new images.
New ad campaigns and angles and offers and guarantees and creatives and soooooo much more.
Just one problem.
Adding stuff most of the time is the worst possible thing you can do.
The Doctor Analogy That Explains Bad Marketing
Let's say you're a doctor. Patient comes in. His belly hurts.
You respond by throwing some opioids at him.
After all, this makes total sense!
Man is in pain. Opioids are good against pain. 1+1 = 2.
That's a good way to lose your medical license quickly.
You're supposed to figure out what's wrong with him and then give him the solution to his specific problem.
Blindly throwing things at him will most likely not help him and may kill him.
The same thing goes for marketing.
How to Actually Fix Your Local Business Marketing
Before you start adding content to your Google Business Profile, let's first get a sense of why we're not ranking #1 yet.
Before you start adding new campaigns to Google Ads... let's see how the current campaigns perform and what we could improve.
Before you start filling up Meta with new creatives... let's see how the campaigns do right now and what elements we could double down on.
Diagnosis before prescription. Every single time.
Stop randomly throwing pills at things. It ruins your results.

Roberto
